From “Rap du Bled” to “I Am K2”: two decades of K2Rhym’s music
K2Rhym’s career has run for more than twenty years, between Tunisia, France, the Gulf, Brazil and the United States. Here are the landmarks.
The French years
- “Rap du Bled” (Rap Ta3 L’Bled) with Tunisiano of the group Sniper, recorded at the Agora studio in Paris. Karim dates the start of his career to 2004, when he signed with Universal France.
- D.C Style (EP, 2006), with “Dc Style”, “Technique De Frappe” and “Si Loin”.
- Chroniques (June 2007), his debut album, with guests including Truth Hurts, En Vogue, Willy Denzey, Sniper, Big Ali, Cheb Akil and Reda Taliani, with labels EMI France and Virgin Records Middle East. On stage, he opened for Mariah Carey, Cheb Mami, En Vogue and Truth Hurts.
The Arab world
- A deal with Melody in 2008, whose channels played his videos across the region.
- “Rabbena Yesma3 Mennak” with the Lebanese singer Rola Saad (2009).
- “Dubaï By Night” with Reda Taliani (2010) and “Number One” (2012).
- MTV EMA nomination for Best Middle East Act (2012) and Best Middle Eastern Rapper (2015).
The international collaborations
- “Immortal” feat. Snoop Dogg (2015).
- “Gettin Started” with French Montana and “Escobar 2” feat. the Brazilian MC Guimê (2017).
- “Oooh La La La La” with Ronaldinho for the 2018 World Cup.
- “One Love” feat. Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Kevinho and Ronaldinho (2019), for the fight against malnutrition.
- “All In One” with French Montana, A.L.A, Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe and The Game, and “I Am K2” with Didine Canon 16 (2025), for the documentary I AM K2.
He also co-produced and hosted Urban Fen on Hannibal TV in 2011, the first Tunisian reality show for street arts.
