The crypto story, in his words

As Karim tells it in I AM K2. This is his personal story, not investment advice.

  1. Listening to the geeks

The IT freelancers who ran artists' websites keep talking about Bitcoin.

  2. First purchase

Bitcoin at around 13 to 19 dollars, bought peer to peer because there were no exchanges yet.

  3. Buying the dip

The price falls to around 200 dollars. He buys again.

  4. The bull run

Exchanges appear and Bitcoin passes 17,000 dollars.

  5. All in during COVID-19

With prices near 3,800 dollars and the world in lockdown, he puts his exchange profits back into Bitcoin.

  6. Ethereum, Solana and Web3

From crypto to blockchain, then the metaverse, and a company of his own.

If you don't take risks in your life, you won't progress.Karim Gharbi, in I AM K2

A digital Tunisia

Living in the UAE, Karim can open a company and a bank account in a single day from an app. He wants the same for Tunisia: a digital administration, simpler procedures, and a foreign-exchange law that makes room for PayPal and cryptocurrency, so that foreign investors trust the country.

"We have the talents to make it happen," he says. Tunisia, in his view, has to rethink its economic model and invest in the sectors of the future.
